The theory of the Bullshit Artist, as explained by Leon Neyfakh in the New York Observer, seems as though it will be a weapon for both sides.
Gathering opinions from the likes of Robert Storr and Todd Levin, Neyfakh assembles a dessert of reference. A briefing of delicious insight on the shifting terrain of the arts. He explains this movement as a scramble for verbose intellect to project to ones viewer as the artist becomes aware of the fading function of better known currency. In today's economy, price is being replaced with emphasis of true self-expression, packaged in eloquent and seemingly educated discourse. Whether or not such artists are truly informed of the origin of their derivatives, they nonetheless forge these ideas and language blindly.

This is not a new excavation-- another of Neyfakh's sources continues--it is merely becoming a more common practice.

Humorously enough, the Bullshitters themselves (unknowingly) will use this term in their own defense, fencing amongst each other. Budding palisades rooted by the new coined name might prove to be the latest trend.
Thicken your mortar, I suppose.

EG: ...If I thought anything was original in my work, it was accepting the here and now, and then letting it show me what was important. The little child crossing her arms and showing me those two eggs. She just came to me with two eggs and crossed her arms. And I thought, that is the wisdom of the body. To whatever extent that she knows it, it’s her body informing her. It’s the same kind of intuition that I wanted to work out of. If she could invent that much, the thing that I could do is be open to the invention. And that is, in essence, just how it happened.
SG: It’s a fantastic picture. Her gesture and the look on her face…

EG: See, I never thought I did that.

SG: Really?

EG: I always felt that life did that to both of us. It used her body to teach her, and it used her to teach me. Perception comes out of your own body. We don’t have a mind separate from our bodies. I am somebody who thinks that their body knows just as much as any thought they ever had. And I like for my body to listen to my mind when it has a good idea.

Statement
I have become captivated by a dialogue that emerges between the domestic and the natural. To observe--whether it is of a person or an animal--the tamed movements and the refined disposition one assumes within a primitive milieu.
I find the relationship between the subjects and their organic contexts to be very complex and compelling; an inherent yearning to reassimilate into a place of which they were once so dependent and connected, and a simultaneous resistance to be fully consumed. In their domesticity, against curtains of foliage and vast fields and voids of soil and water, these figures resonate and negate the uninhibited.

Women came out of the male imagination. In every sense: she was a product of that imagination, and she has escaped from its grasp (never to return?). Women have become real, whereas they were once conspicuous by their absence.

New urban figure: the man standing on the street corner, mobile phone in hand, or wheeling around like some limp beast, still talking away to no one, A living insult to the passer-by. Only madmen and alcoholics can flout public space in the way, talking to themselves. But at least they are connected up to their inner madness. Whereas mobile-phone-man imposes on everyone--who has no interest in it whatsoever--the virtual presence of the network, which is public enemy number one.

Only something which has a purpose comes to an end, since once that purpose is achieved, all that remains is for it to disappear. The human species has survived only because it had no final purpose. Those who have tried to give it one have generally sent it hurtling to its destruction. And it is perhaps out of some survival instinct that groups and individuals are gradually abandoning any precise purpose, abandoning meaning, reason and the Enlightenment to retain only the untutored, intuitive understanding of an impercise situation.
